Amanda Stegmann, MS, LDN, LSW holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Nutrition, Specializing in Eating Disorders from Northeastern University. She is both a Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist as well as Licensed Social Worker and has been astute in all things relating to mental health. She craves learning and discovery and never assumes a client is like anyone she has met before. All people are unique to her. She uses humor, curiosity and a high intellect to get to know each person individually and create a plan that works for each person
Amanda was the sole nutritionist for the largest HIV organization in New England for nearly 4 years, counseling hundreds of patients with chronic illnesses and published a nutrition cookbook to treat 10 comorbidities associated with HIV. Her professional experience and contributions include publishing research articles in the field of sports nutrition, creating meal plans for reputable fitness organizations, consulting for employee wellness campaigns and most recently; teaching pediatric nutrition lectures and providing nutritional counseling to Boston families as part of a HRSA grant in order to create a wellness program for Boston University Goldman Pediatric Dental School.
Amanda’s private practice serves an array of clients with a myriad of reasons for turning to her for support and knowledge. She has been applauded numerous times for her dedication and years of counseling clients with eating disorders, medical conditions, and a variety of emotional wellbeing struggles. She has been providing nutritional guidance to group homes, athletic departments and community service agencies for years. She is known for being “one a kind” and has been told by groups and individuals alike that they’re lives are changed by knowing her.
Amanda conducts her practice through both in person visits as well as virtual platforms, depending on client personalization and preferences. To lead a well-rounded life herself, Amanda enjoys dancing, cult classic movies, and developing recipes. She is a wonderful mother to one growing boy and one growing pup. Her genuine positivity toward change, paired with her realistic outlook on human nature, give her a gift of designing sustainable recommendations for her clients.
